Transparencies & Shadows in
InDesign |
Several problems can occur from
the misuse of these new effects
offered by InDesign. These
effects are really only meant to
be used on process color jobs,
so please be ready for nasty
phone calls from your printer if
you send them a file containing
duotones with any effects
applied to them. We know a
few tricks and can get the
printer a file they can work
with if you find yourself in
this situation.
Make sure all text and
vector-based objects are above
the elements you are applying
these effects to, otherwise they
will be rastered along with the
photos and background.
When printing or writing a
postscript file, make sure
"Overprint Preview" is selected.
You will also need to make sure
your transparency flattening
settings are set to highest
quality. |
